Zeus Greek Street Food received an unsatisfactory 56 on its Oct. 13 health inspection at its Powers Ferry Road location in Atlanta.
The inspection report said no person was in charge during the visit and that spanakopita, steak and salmon were kept at unsafe temperatures. An inspector also reported seeing an employee take a used pan from the trash and put rice on it. Manager Angelo Laios disputed the pan allegation, saying cameras were running.
Management said it was correcting the violations and had given staff additional training. It said all employees are now ServSafe certified and that it plans to meet with the health department over parts of the inspection it disputes.
Elsewhere, Buttermilk Kitchen on Roswell Road in Atlanta scored 100 on its latest inspection. West Cobb Diner on Barrett Parkway in Marietta earned 99 and an A on a reinspection.
