Chicago Blackhawks captain Connor Bedard could make his season debut during the team's homestand after returning to full-contact practice Sunday.
Bedard took part in every drill, wearing a regular jersey for the first time since surgery on his left shoulder. He injured it during an offseason training session in Vancouver on July 2 and had surgery a few days later. He had skated with the team earlier in the week in a non-contact jersey.
A Tuesday game against the Pittsburgh Penguins at United Center remains a possibility, but no return date has been set. Bedard said he felt good after practicing and planned to speak with doctors. Blackhawks coach Jeff Blashill said he could not confirm the Tuesday possibility before learning more from Bedard's medical appointment.
