Arizona State beat Hawaii 30-12 on Saturday, but coach Kenny Dillingham said he wanted more from his team.
ASU produced its best rushing performance of the season. The win followed a 55-19 loss to Baylor, the program’s largest defeat since joining the Big 12. After that loss, Dillingham returned offensive playcalling duties to coordinator Marcus Arroyo. He said the game against Hawaii was called well, though the team still had things to fix.
ASU is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big 12 play. Hawaii is 1-5 and 0-3 in the Mountain West. The defense held Hawaii to 12 points, its fewest allowed against an FBS opponent this season. Dillingham wants the team to keep improving as it approaches a difficult stretch of its schedule.
