Wales beat Norway 2-1 in Cardiff to secure their first Nations League A victory, with Neco Williams scoring the winner from a free-kick.
Oscar Bobb put Norway ahead inside 11 minutes, but Daniel James equalised before half-time. Norway were reduced to 10 men when Torjbjorn Heggem received a straight red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity. Williams struck moments later.
The result was Wales’ first win of 2026 and came in their ninth match across two campaigns in the Nations League’s top tier. Their previous eight games had brought one draw and seven defeats. It also ended manager Craig Bellamy’s winless run since a World Cup qualifying victory over North Macedonia last November.
