Four teams remain in the 2026 MLB playoffs: the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians in the American League, and the Milwaukee Brewers and Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League. The best-of-seven NL Championship Series is due to begin Sunday night, followed by the AL series on Monday.
Milwaukee enters its series against the defending champion Dodgers with a question about how pitcher Jacob Misiorowski will hold up. The 24-year-old has worked 178⅔ innings this regular season and postseason, compared with 141⅓ across the minors, majors and playoffs last year.
The Brewers have managed his workload with extra rest between 26 of his 30 regular-season starts. Misiorowski threw at least 100 pitches in a start only three times. Whether he can sustain his form could matter as Milwaukee seeks its first World Series appearance since 1982.
