Hawi Feysa won the women’s 2026 Chicago Marathon for a second straight year, pulling clear of Sharon Lokedi in the closing miles. Her time of 2:13:33 was a personal best.
Lokedi finished second in 2:14:07. Brigid Kosgei, who won the race in 2018 and 2019, took third in 2:14:55. Before Feysa, Ruth Chepngetich was the last woman to defend the Chicago title, winning in 2021 and 2022.
In the women’s wheelchair race, Catherine Debrunner regained the title she held in 2023 and 2024. She won in a world-record 1:33:16, ahead of Tatyana McFadden, who finished in 1:42:01.
Debrunner’s Chicago victory followed wins in Tokyo, London and Berlin this year. Susannah Scaroni, the 2025 champion, did not race after having a child in August.
