The Green Bay Packers observed a moment of silence for Mike Ditka before facing the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Ditka died Friday at age 86.
Green Bay’s defense forced five turnovers against Chicago. The Bears also debuted a helmet decal bearing Ditka’s No. 89, which they plan to wear for the rest of the season in honor of their former head coach.
Ditka played tight end for the Bears before coaching the team to its only Super Bowl championship. Chicago retired his No. 89 jersey in 2013.
