Knicks captain Jalen Brunson said Monday he is not easing up after New York’s 2026 NBA championship. Asked whether the title would help him relax entering the new season, he said, “There's no relaxation whatsoever,”
Brunson, the 2026 NBA Finals MVP, helped the Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games for their first championship since 1973. He previously said it took him about a month to move past the celebration and turn his attention to winning another title.
New York will hold its championship ring ceremony Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden, then open the 2026–27 season against the Philadelphia 76ers.
