District of Columbia U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said Tuesday that her office is examining Rep. Ilhan Omar’s financial disclosures. The inquiry follows a federal search of the Minnesota Democrat’s Washington, D.C., home on Monday.

The Justice Department confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations agents carried out the search under a judicially authorized warrant as part of an ongoing criminal investigation. Two people familiar with that investigation said it involves Omar’s immigration paperwork. It is not clear whether the search is connected to the financial disclosure inquiry.

The disclosures listed businesses tied to Omar’s husband, Tim Mynett, at a reported value of up to $51,000 in 2023 and up to $30 million in 2024. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer requested financial records from two companies linked to Mynett in February.
