President Trump has offered Katie Zacharia the White House press secretary job, a White House official said. It was not immediately clear whether she had accepted.
Zacharia is a lawyer and conservative commentator who has worked as a senior communications adviser for Trump Media & Technology Group since June, according to her LinkedIn profile. She also lists a current role as general counsel at Fix California, a conservative activist group.
Her profile shows that she completed a two-month stint as a Department of Homeland Security spokesperson in March. If she takes the White House post, she would succeed Karoline Leavitt, who left the administration in late August.
