British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to question after a reported attempted rape on a Bakerloo line train.
Police said a man approached a woman travelling alone between Waterloo and Lambeth North at about 11.40pm on Saturday 11 July. He exposed himself, forced her to the floor and tried to rape her, according to police. She fought back, left the train at Lambeth North and alerted station staff.
Police said the man remained on the train until Elephant and Castle. Investigators believe he may have been at Oxford Circus before the attack and Piccadilly Circus afterwards. Detective Sergeant Krishan Appannah said officers were supporting the woman and appealed for help identifying the man in the image.
Anyone who recognises him can text his name to 61016, quoting reference 948 of 11 July. Information can also be given to British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
