Blue Ivy joined Beyoncé and her younger sister Rumi onstage Tuesday for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Houston’s Knowles-Rowland House youth center. The 14-year-old appeared taller than her mother at the event.
The ceremony marked the opening of 31 supportive housing units at the site, which provides housing for people experiencing chronic homelessness. The building first opened as a gymnasium in 1999 and was later damaged by Hurricane Harvey in 2017 and a fire four years afterward.
Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, and former Destiny’s Child bandmate Kelly Rowland also took part. The appearance was Blue Ivy’s first in public in months; she had performed piano at a July show by her father, Jay-Z, at Yankee Stadium.
