Long Beach officials are assessing damage after Tropical Storm Rachel sent powerful waves onto the Southern California coast over the weekend. The threat of more powerful waves has not passed.
On the Long Beach Peninsula, the waves extensively damaged multimillion-dollar homes. Officials have marked at least 13 residences unsafe to occupy.
