A man was seriously hurt in an apparent hit-and-run in Lauderhill, police said. Officers found him with multiple injuries around 12:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of North State Road 7.
He was taken to a nearby hospital and was in critical but stable condition at the time of the report. Police said the driver reportedly left the scene; the direction of travel and type of vehicle remain unknown.
Debris lay across the road overnight, but the area had been cleaned up before preparations for a Carnival event began hours later. Lauderhill police said the investigation is ongoing and that new information could lead to updates.
