The Phoenix Suns will seek their first preseason win against the San Antonio Spurs on October 10. Phoenix enters the game at 0-2, while San Antonio is 0-1. Tipoff is scheduled for 9 p.m. Central time.
The Spurs lost their preseason opener to the Atlanta Hawks 123-116 despite a strong first half from their starters. Coach Mitch Johnson had planned to start De’Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, Dylan Harper, Devin Vassell and Victor Wembanyama, but Fox was scratched late. He is listed as questionable for the Phoenix game with soreness.
San Antonio may use a smaller lineup with Vassell at power forward. For the Suns, Mark Williams is listed as out with a shoulder injury, and Miles Bridges is questionable with an ankle injury.
