The Seattle Kraken beat the Utah Mammoth 5-3 on Thursday night at Climate Pledge Arena after losing a two-goal lead in the third period.

Mackie Samoskevich scored the winner with 5:25 remaining, and Freddy Gaudreau added an empty-net goal. Utah's Logan Cooley had scored twice, including once on the power play, to erase Seattle's 3-1 lead after two periods. Both teams also had third-period goals disallowed for missed offside calls.

Jordan Eberle and Brandon Montour each finished with a goal and an assist, while Matty Beniers also scored for Seattle. Philipp Grubauer stopped 33 of 36 shots.

The win gave the Kraken seven victories and 15 points through 11 games. That is the team's best points total at this stage of a season, ahead of the 14 it had after 11 games last year. Utah entered the game leading the Central Division.
