All southbound lanes and one northbound lane of Highway 101 at Hospital Curve in San Francisco are scheduled to close Friday night for weekend repaving, Caltrans said.
The closure covers the stretch between Cesar Chavez and 17th streets. It is set to begin at 11 p.m. Friday, with lanes scheduled to reopen by 6 a.m. Monday. Caltrans advised southbound drivers to use Interstate 280 during the work.
Crews will repave the southbound lanes. This is the third Highway 101 closure in a broader rehabilitation project that began in fall 2025; a fourth and final closure is scheduled for Nov. 6.
