Pejman Zamani has posted a CCTV image of a dining party after a negative review of his restaurant in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. He believes a woman in the group wrote the review.
The image shows a man at the table giving two thumbs up as a member of staff approaches. Zamani took the gesture as a sign of apparent approval, though it does not establish what the group thought of its meal.
The Google review, posted under the name Anonymous, described a family’s first visit as disappointing and expensive. It criticised the food and suggested the restaurant’s interior needed updating. Zamani searched the footage before sharing an image of the party he believes was involved.
Zamani, 65, has run the restaurant in the Leicestershire town for 36 years. He says anonymous negative reviews can seriously damage businesses.
