Eighteen people, including children, were injured when a tree fell at a PGL activity centre in Surrey on Monday afternoon.
Emergency crews were called to the Marchants Hill site on Tilford Road in Hindhead at about 1.40pm. One person with a serious leg injury was flown to a London hospital, while six others with less serious injuries were taken to Royal Surrey Hospital in Guildford. Another 11 people were treated at the scene and discharged.
PGL confirmed that children were among those hurt. It said it was working with the schools involved and emergency services to support families and keep them informed. Ambulance crews, police and firefighters attended the site.
Farnham and Bordon MP Gregory Stafford said there were no reported fatalities. Surrey Police and Surrey Fire and Rescue Service were working with PGL, he said.
