No public outcome was found for 254 incidents in which the Israeli military said it was examining allegations that it had killed or injured people. The cases occurred in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Lebanon and Israel, or in military detention.

The review covered incidents between 7 October 2023 and 19 August 2026. Of 300 cases the military said it was looking into, 28 had outcomes published on its website; for another 18, it was unclear whether the investigation had concluded. At least one person was reportedly killed in more than 200 of the 254 cases without public outcomes.

Asked repeatedly about the cases, the Israel Defense Forces provided information on two, which it said remained under review. The military said it takes allegations of conduct that may breach the law or its directives seriously. Guidelines published by the International Committee of the Red Cross say investigations into potential violations of international humanitarian law should be as transparent as possible.
