The Bears did not activate cornerback Kyler Gordon by Saturday’s deadline, ruling him out of Sunday’s game against the Packers. Defensive lineman Shemar Turner also remains on the physically unable-to-perform list.
Chicago used its open roster spot to activate Noah Sewell, a backup linebacker and special teams player returning from an Achilles tear late last season. Turner, a 2025 second-round pick, is recovering from a torn ACL.
Gordon had practiced in full for two weeks, and the Bears listed both him and Turner as questionable after Friday’s practice. The team must activate Turner by Wednesday or leave him out for the season; the same decision is due for Gordon by Oct. 20.
