United Airlines unveiled the new Terminal B at Houston’s George Bush International Airport on Wednesday, part of a $2.6 billion expansion.
The terminal adds 22 gates. At the unveiling, United’s Houston hub vice president, Phil Griffith, said the additional gates meant passengers would no longer face long lines.
United is funding most of the project. The Houston Airport System is contributing about $624 million for roadway and airfield improvements. The unveiling followed nearly three years of construction, during which Terminal B was closed.
