Dalton Knecht is off the Los Angeles Lakers’ roster, and Kevin Porter Jr. has been released by the Milwaukee Bucks. Both moves came as the teams prepared their rosters for the NBA season.
Knecht, the 17th pick in the 2024 draft, averaged 9.1 points and 2.8 rebounds in his rookie year but struggled in his second season. Los Angeles reportedly considered trading him before deciding to waive him.
Porter joined Milwaukee from the Los Angeles Clippers in February 2025. Limited by injuries to 38 appearances last season, he averaged 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 7.4 assists and 2.2 steals. Right knee surgery in April 2026 cut his regular season short.
