Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians harvesting olives across the occupied West Bank on Friday, injuring farmers and photographer Heidi Levine. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported at least six people injured in Abu Falah, near Ramallah.
In Abu Falah, at least 80 settlers gathered to block the harvest, some carrying firearms or clubs. They used slingshots to throw rocks at farmers. When some Palestinians picked up rocks in response, Israeli troops fired tear gas toward them.
Witnesses said settlers beat Levine for more than 10 minutes and stole her passport, phone, wallet and equipment. She was treated at a hospital in Ramallah. Levine said Palestinian colleagues intervened to stop the attack, while her employer said she had been visibly identified as a journalist.
