The Phoenix Suns are set to host the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night at Mortgage Matchup Center, seeking their first win of the preseason after an 0-2 start.
One question is whether Phoenix’s new power forward, Bridges, will play. He rolled an ankle in Wednesday’s loss to the Chicago Bulls, but the Suns said X-rays were negative and the injury was not serious. Coach Jordan Ott may still rest him with two weeks left before the regular season.
If Bridges sits, Koa Peat, Rasheer Fleming and Ryan Dunn could get more time as they compete for rotation minutes. Devin Booker’s three-point shooting is another area to watch: he has made one of 12 attempts through Phoenix’s first two preseason games. Victor Wembanyama is expected in town with San Antonio.
