The Golden State Valkyries and Atlanta Dream are set to open the WNBA Finals at Chase Center on Saturday, Oct. 17, at 12:30 p.m. Pacific, an afternoon start for a series whose schedule may make it harder for some fans to follow.
Game 2 is scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. Pacific in San Francisco. Games 3 and 4 will move to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, with the fourth game set for Saturday, Oct. 24, at 10 a.m. Pacific. The Dream and Hawks worked together to secure the arena for those games instead of using a 3,500-seat G League venue outside the city.
Both finalists swept their semifinal opponents and have had more than a week between games. Golden State is in its second season, while Atlanta added star Angel Reese in a trade. If needed, Games 5 through 7 are scheduled for Oct. 26, 29 and 31.
