London City Hall is expected to arrange a public screening of Sunday's World Cup final if England beat Argentina in Wednesday night's semi-final. The O2 Arena is thought to be the most likely venue, though no location has been confirmed.
City Hall said there are no plans for an official screening of the Argentina match. Instead, the mayor is encouraging Londoners to watch in pubs, clubs, bars and other hospitality venues. England secured their semi-final place with an extra-time win over Norway early on Sunday, leaving little time to organise a large gathering.
If England win the tournament, organisers could hold a victory celebration in London on Tuesday 21 July. That remains conditional on England winning both the semi-final and Sunday's final in New York/New Jersey.
