At least seven people were reportedly killed when two gunmen opened fire at a church funeral in Jordan on Friday, state media said. Ten others were injured in Karak governorate.
The gunmen reportedly arrived by car, fired inside the church and fled. Mourner Khaled Burqan told state-run television that the attackers carried a rifle and a pistol and shot at people for several minutes. A witness estimated that 150 to 200 people were in the church.
Government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani said security forces had been deployed to the area. A manhunt is under way, and no one has claimed responsibility. Interior ministry officials were expected to give a briefing.
