A Milton police detective was fired after using Flock cameras to look for his wife. His attorney says the searches happened during potentially life-threatening medical emergencies.
Attorney Mitch Skandalakis said Randy Dula searched his wife’s license plate seven times over two years, turning to Flock when tracking tools such as Life360 did not work. Dula’s wife, Mariam, said she has a serious diabetic condition and credited him with saving her life.
Mariam Dula said she told the department about her condition, but claims investigators left her account out of the internal inquiry. Skandalakis said he asked the police chief to let Dula resign so he could retain his law enforcement license, but the request was not granted. Another attorney is helping Dula appeal his firing.
