The Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries will meet in the 2026 WNBA Finals, beginning Oct. 17. The championship will be a best-of-seven series.
Both teams swept their semifinals Friday night. Atlanta eliminated the New York Liberty, while Golden State defeated the defending champion Las Vegas Aces. Neither finalist has won a WNBA title.
The Dream return to the Finals for the first time since 2013. They beat the Washington Mystics in the opening round and are 5-0 in the playoffs. Golden State, which joined the league as an expansion team in 2025, reached its first Finals after needing three games to defeat the Dallas Wings in the first round.
